Tuesday: German Conversation

Our new German Conversation class is the perfect way to keep your brain active and your language skills alive. Meeting this Tuesday at 10.00 am, the group will focus on relaxed, friendly conversation rather than grammar drills, so you can practise real‑world phrases, build confidence speaking, and enjoy chatting about everyday topics in German. Whether you learned the language years ago or are just beginning, you’re very welcome to come along, dust off your vocabulary, and connect with other members who share an interest in German language and culture.

Wednesday: Lifestyle Program

Our monthly Lifestyle Program is a chance to step back, take a breath and focus on your overall wellbeing. Each session explores a different theme – from healthy ageing and staying active, to creativity, connection and practical tips for everyday living – with plenty of time for questions and friendly discussion. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and designed especially for people in their “third age”, so you can learn something new, share your own experiences and leave feeling encouraged and inspired for the month ahead,

Thursday: Gentle Seated Exercises

Our Gentle Seated Exercises class is a wonderful option for members who want to stay active while remaining comfortably seated throughout the session. Using simple, guided movements, the class helps improve circulation, joint mobility and muscle strength, all at a pace that suits every ability level. It’s especially great for those managing joint pain, balance concerns, or recovering from illness or injury, though everyone is welcome regardless of fitness level. Come along, get moving in a safe and supportive environment, and enjoy the social side of exercising together, no mat or floor work required, just a chair and a friendly attitude.

Friday: Oil Painting

Our Oil Painting Workshops are the perfect setting to explore your creative side, whether you’re picking up a brush for the very first time or returning to a much-loved hobby. Sessions cover the essentials of colour mixing, brush technique and composition, with plenty of individual guidance so you can work at your own pace on a piece that’s meaningful to you. There’s no pressure to be “good” at art here, just a relaxed space to experiment, learn from others and enjoy the satisfaction of watching a painting come together stroke by stroke. All materials guidance and encouragement are provided, so simply bring your enthusiasm and discover just how enjoyable getting lost in a canvas can be.
