If you have an iPad or tablet and would like to feel more confident using it, our new iPads & Tablets course at Horsham U3A is a friendly place to start. This small, relaxed group is designed especially for those who want to move beyond the basics and get more enjoyment and practical use from their device. Across the course we’ll look at everyday tasks such as sending emails and messages, browsing the internet safely, taking and organising photos, installing and managing apps, and adjusting settings to make your screen easier to read. There will be plenty of time for questions, one‑to‑one help and sharing tips with others who are learning too. Sessions begin on Friday 17th April from 10.00 am, and participants are asked to bring along their own iPad or tablet (fully charged) plus any passwords they might need. Whether you are just getting started or you’ve had your device for a while and never felt you were using it properly, you’ll be very welcome to join us.

Pack your passport for our next Armchair Travel session at Horsham U3A! On Monday 20th April at 10.00 am we’ll be “visiting” Vatican City, the smallest country in the world and a unique city‑state entirely surrounded by Rome. We’ll explore St Peter’s Basilica and Square, the Vatican Museums and some of the art, history and traditions that make this tiny country so fascinating. Everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy the photos and stories, and experience a little taste of Italy without leaving Horsham.

Step back in time with our Horsham U3A Local History Group as we explore Harrow – often described as Victoria’s oldest inland town. On Monday 20th April from 10.00 am we’ll look at Harrow’s early days, its role in the district and some of the people and stories that shaped the township. Our guest speaker is U3A member Bill Goodwin, who grew up in Harrow and will share his memories of the town and its community. Everyone with an interest in local or family history is very welcome to come along, share memories and enjoy a relaxed morning of photos, maps and conversation.
