We have a reduced schedule on for the next two weeks due to the School Holidays. Some classes will not be operating, please check with your tutor if you are unsure. There will be NO SEATED GENTLE EXXERCISES, OR TAI CHI.

This week

As it is the school holidays, some of our classes will not be running as people will be away or on family duties. 

Below are our five highlights for this week. 

Monday

China Painting is one of our most popular classes, held every Monday from 9.30am.

Participants chose the subject and their chosen object, which could be a set of china cups, plates, or even ceramic tiles. A variety of designs and techniques are used to create the finished design.

Pastels & Water Colours

Tuesday

This friendly and welcoming group meets regularly to explore and develop skills across a range of artistic mediums, including acrylic and watercolour painting, as well as pastel and pencil drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your existing techniques, participants have the opportunity to learn new methods, share ideas, and enjoy a supportive creative environment. Come along, get inspired, and discover the joy of building your artistic skills alongside others in the community.

Wednesday

Join this friendly small group and discover the creative joy of designing your own handmade greeting cards. Each session guides you through new techniques while you craft a beautiful set of three unique cards to take home. All materials are provided—including card bases, embellishments, ribbons, sparkles, colouring markers, and more—so you can simply relax and enjoy the process. A small additional fee of $20 per session covers all supplies.

Thursday

Join Rhonda Pilgrim for an enjoyable and stimulating Scrabble session where words, strategy, and friendly competition come together. Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, this welcoming group offers a great opportunity to expand your vocabulary, sharpen your mind, and share plenty of laughs along the way. Come along, challenge yourself, and enjoy the social side of this classic word game.

Friday

Discover the techniques of oil painting and learn how to create rich, expressive artworks in a relaxed and supportive setting. This class focuses on working from photographs as reference, guiding you step-by-step in translating images into pleasing finished pieces. Suitable for beginners as well as those looking to build on their existing skills, participants can develop confidence with colour, composition, and brushwork at their own pace. Please note that participants are required to bring their own materials.
