Reading for Pleasure

Class members read books from their own collection or borrowed from the library. Titles may also be chosen library’s book of the month collection. We talk about what we read as we share a cup of tea, coffee and biscuits.

This class is held at the Wimmera Library in McLachlan Street.

Tuesday 16th September | 1.30pm

Nature Watch

Planet Earth – Great Plains – David Attenborough. The star of this episode of ”Planet Earth” is a very special plant: grass, because it can survive snow, fire, water, heat and cold, and it’s also a precious food source for many animals!

Mountains: Life in Thin Air – Narrated by John Hurt. Life in the mountains demands elaborate adaptations, for despite the extreme biological diversity people often have little choice of meat supply, despite elaborate hunting methods such as nets in clearings to lure giant bats.

Wednesday 17th September | 10am

Seated Gentle Exercises

This will be Pam’s last class with us at Hamilton Lamb Hall on Thursday. Come along and wish her well for the future.

Thank you, Pam for all your hard work and thank you to Brienne for stepping up as the new leader.
