This Week at Horsham U3A: May 11th – 15th

As the weather turns cooler in Horsham, things are warming up inside at Horsham U3A. This week’s program is a great reminder that learning, laughter and friendship don’t come with an expiry date. Whether you like to stretch your mind, stretch your legs, or simply stretch out in a comfy chair with good company, there’s something on the calendar to tempt you.

This Week

We’ve chosen one class each day as a “spotlight session” – not because the others aren’t just as good, but because they show the variety of ways our members stay curious, creative and connected. Across the week you’ll find quiet moments of concentration, bursts of conversation in many languages, cards on tables, brushes in paint pots and plenty of “aha!” moments as someone masters a new skill. New faces are always welcome, and regulars know that bringing a friend is one of the easiest ways to brighten their week.

Seated Gentle Exercises

With Breanne Mills

This class is a 45 minutes session, comprising a mixture of seated and standing movements. The emphasis is on low impact exercises with the opportunity to work harder, depending on your fitness and skill level. The aim is to move all parts of the body, thus maintaining a wide range of movement to enable us to continue to enjoy life and daily activities. It includes balls, bean bags, weights and fun routines. Cost $8.00  per session.
