There is a full and varied week ahead at Horsham U3A from Monday 15 to Friday 19 December, with activities running every day for members who enjoy exercise, creativity, games and good company.
Final Week of classes for 2025
Warm Christmas greetings are extended to all Horsham U3A members, volunteers and friends, and to the wider Horsham community, with thanks for your support and involvement throughout the year. May this festive season bring you peace, good health and time to relax with family and friends, and may the New Year be filled with new opportunities to learn, laugh and stay connected through U3A activities.
Monday
Start the week with Table Tennis at 9am, a great way to stretch the legs and enjoy some light-hearted competition. Seated Gentle Exercises at 9.15am offer low‑impact movement, followed by China Painting at 10am for members who enjoy detailed, creative work. The afternoon brings Bridge at 1.30pm, giving card‑players a chance to test their skills and enjoy social time around the table,
Tuesday
Tuesday morning features Art at 10am, with a focus on pastels and watercolours for those who like experimenting with colour and technique. At the same time, Singing for Fun meets for relaxed group singing, and at 1pm the Solo card group gathers for an enjoyable afternoon of friendly play.
Wednesday
Mid‑week begins with Table Tennis again at 9am for those keen to keep active on court. The afternoon offers several options from 1.30pm: 500, Canasta and Mahjong groups all meet, providing plenty of card‑game and tile‑game choices, followed at 2pm by the Lifestyle Program for members interested in discussion, learning and wellbeing topics.
Thursday
Thursday starts with Seated Gentle Exercises at 9.15am, ideal for building balance and flexibility in a supportive setting. At 10am, the Sounds of Music group meets for a musical morning, then Patchwork/Stitch begins at 10.30am for sew‑and‑chat time, with Scrabble at 1.30pm for lovers of words and puzzles.
Friday
Finish the week with another chance to play Table Tennis at 9am, followed by Tai Chi at 9.15am for a calm, mindful start to the day. Oil Painting at 9.30am caters for those who enjoy working with brush and canvas, and the Knitting & Crochet group at 1.30pm offers a relaxed afternoon of yarn crafts and conversation. Members and prospective members are warmly encouraged to come along, try something new and bring a friend to share the week’s activities.
Reminder, there will be no Technology Class this afternoon, as we are meeting for lunch at the Horsham Sports & Community Club.
