On Friday, June 21st we held an open to the public workshop to check if people’s phones were compatible with the new 4/5G network as the old 3G network is being turned off later this year. The workshop was held in the main room from 10am and was conducted by Trish.
We had a steady flow of visitors, mostly members which was good to see.
Of those that visited, only 2 visitors had phones that were not compatible. During the consultation, Trish discussed their various options in upgrading, as these phones were also not on the main networks such as Telstra or Optus but were with other carriers, which posed additional difficulties for them.
