Creating Beautiful Junk Journals at Horsham U3A Workshop
On Saturday, our members of Horsham U3A gathered for an exciting workshop focused on creating unique junk journals from specially designed digital kits. It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, laughter, and the joy of crafting!
Workshop Overview
Participants arrived eager to dive into the world of junk journaling. Each attendee received a pre-printed digital kit on high-quality silk finish cardboard. These kits were thoughtfully designed, making it easy for everyone to cut out and assemble their journal components.
Decorating
After assembling the base of their journals, it was time for the fun part—decorating! Attendees used a variety of materials, including lace, buttons, butterflies and more.
Participants will be back next weekend to decorate the inside of their journals before adding the finishing touches with tags and other ephemera that came with the kits.
What is a digital kit?
A digital kit is a curated collection of printable resources designed to facilitate creative projects, such as crafting, scrapbooking, or journaling. These kits typically include a variety of pre-designed elements, such as backgrounds, embellishments, tags, and journaling prompts, all formatted for easy printing.
We used 3 digital kits for this workshop from the Etsy store My Porch Prints.
- Perfect Peonies
- Spring Garden
- Shabby Lined papers
You can purchase these kits (and more) from Stephanie’s store.
