Come and Join Us at Horsham U3A This Week!

Hello, friends, and welcome to another week at Horsham U3A!

Spring is in full swing, the days are getting longer, and there’s no better time to get out of the house, catch up with familiar faces and try something new. Whether you’ve been with us for years or you’re thinking about popping in for the very first time, we’d love to see you.

This week we have something on every day, from creative and curious to social and active. There’s a warm welcome waiting at every session, a cuppa to share, and plenty of good company. You never know, you might discover a new passion or make a new friend along the way.

Have a look at the highlights below, pick a day (or two, or five!) that suits you, and come along. Bring a friend if you like. The more the merrier!

We can’t wait to see you this week.

Monday: Local History

Join us for a fascinating journey into our region’s transport heritage at our next Local History group session. Our guest speaker for October will be local railway enthusiast and historian Harvey Champness, who will present a captivating talk on The Overland—the historic passenger train service connecting Melbourne and Adelaide. First commencing operations in 1887, The Overland is one of Australia’s longest-running and most iconic passenger rail services. Harvey will explore the rich history of the line, its impact on the communities it connected across Victoria and South Australia, and how the network evolved over the decades. Whether you are a lifelong rail enthusiast, love local history, or simply enjoy a good story from the past, this is a session not to be missed.
