Can you help?

The RECOVER-D study team, a project being conducted by The Royal Melbourne Hospital in partnership with The University of Melbourne.

This study is investigating the feasibility and acceptability of a psychosocial skills intervention aiming to improve everyday psychosocial functioning in people aged 50–75 who are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of depression.

Research suggests that people’s social relationships and leisure activities (also known as psychosocial functioning) can influence recovery from depression and the maintenance of mental health following recovery from depression. Our study aims to train cognitive, emotional and social cognitive functioning with the assumption that this will lead to improvements in psychosocial function and depressive symptoms. This psychosocial training will be delivered online via zoom with a psychologist over an 8-11 week period.
