Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser

On Tuesday 19th May, Horsham U3A joined thousands of Australians taking part in the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea — and what a wonderful morning it was! Over 35 members came together to share a cuppa, enjoy some laughs, and raise money for cancer research and support.

A Unique Twist on the Lucky Dip

Each guest received a ticket number along with a fun fact. When their number was drawn, they shared their fact with the group before choosing a prize from the lucky dip box — a simple idea that had everyone engaged and laughing! A big thank you to Dawn Redding and Joyce Lane for organising and managing this activity so beautifully.

Pass the Parcel with a Floral Flavour

Judy Dillon delighted the group with a creative game of Pass the Parcel, where each layer revealed a “Who Am I?” clue based on flowers and shrubs. It was a wonderful way to get everyone thinking — and proving that our members know their blooms!

Tea-Themed Bingo

A tea-themed Bingo game rounded out the activities, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats and their eyes firmly on their bingo cards — a perfect fit for the occasion!

A Generous Spread

No Biggest Morning Tea would be complete without an amazing spread of food, and our members did not disappoint. Thank you to everyone who donated a plate — your generosity helped make the morning as delicious as it was fun.

$1,200 Raised for Cancer Research!

Through raffle tickets, donations, and the wonderful spirit of giving shown by all who attended, Horsham U3A raised an incredible $1,200 for cancer research. That is something to be very proud of!

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, baked, organised, and contributed in any way. Together, we are making a difference — one cup of tea at a time. ☕💛
