There was plenty of colour and plenty of song at Horsham U3A this morning, with two groups enjoying themselves in separate parts of the building.
In the studio, the art group settled in with [paintings / sketches / watercolours]. Some members tried a new technique while others added to works in progress. There was a lot of quiet concentration, punctuated by laughter and the occasional “Come and have a look at this!”
Meanwhile, in the main room, the singing group filled the space with favourite songs. You don’t need to be a trained singer to join in. It’s all about enjoying the music together, and included songs such as I am Australian, For You Are Beautiful, You Raise Me Up and more had everyone smiling.
What makes these mornings special is the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Nobody is judged, mistakes are part of the fun, and there’s always time for a chat and a cuppa. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush or you haven’t sung since school, you’d be most welcome.
