Dust off your score pad and get your partner ready – the Grampians 500 Challenge is back, and it’s going to be a fantastic day of cards, laughter and friendly competition.
We’re inviting U3A members and friends from across the Grampians region to join us for a social 500 tournament. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a bit rusty but keen to have a go, you’ll be very welcome. Come along, meet new people, and enjoy the buzz of a room full of card players all trying their best to outbid, outplay and outlast the opposition.
Event details
- Date: Sunday 17 May
- Time: 11.00 am start (please arrive a little early to register and find your table)
- Cost: $10 per person – includes lunch and refreshments
- Format: Pairs play, rotating tables through the day
- Venue: Old Railway Station, Railway Ave, Horsham
The day is designed to be friendly and relaxed, with plenty of time to chat between rounds. Prizes will be on offer, but the real reward is the company, the conversation and the shared love of 500.

You can register as a pair or let us know if you need a partner and we’ll do our best to match you up. If you haven’t played for a while, don’t worry – there will be plenty of patient, helpful players around, and we’ll go over the basic rules before the first round begins.
